Go straight to albums on 2.2 server?

Hi!

Is there a way to turn back a presentation of a search results as was before 2.2?

Earlier when I searched for an artist after choosing the correct search result I can see albums of this artist. After 2.2 upgrade - after choosing the artist I see the page with options like Albums, items, date and such. So to go to the albums i have to do a extra click. Is there a way to go back?

Don't know. 2.1 i guess, which exactly I can't tell - but i've updates the server about month ago.

You should use the listViewAlbums property.
Setting it to a big enough value (1 - 9999) you should be able to obtain what you need.
This property is in Properties/Server configuration section

I have tested this with the white linn app on iOS with the most recent minimserver version and it works like expected. Searched for an artist, choosed the artist tab in the search results, then entered the artist‘s icon. I see the album folder (the artist only has one), the recently added and the recently played folder.

Have you tested this with the settings like stefano-mpb suggested?
I see the same behaviour like the OP does.
If there is only one album in the folder there is nothing to choose, with more then one album, the extra click is indeed necessary.

Ah, ok, now I understand the whole tagView and listView thing. The listViewAlbums property is empty in my minimserver. And when I am searching for an artist with many albums I indeed only see the tagView folders, no direct album folders.

The default for this property if unset seems to be 1.

But I am not sure what I prefer. In listView I am missing the possibilities of the tagView folders. Maybe they should be offered as „>> TagView“ in the listView?

Hmm, no, I still do not understand what folders are present in the tagView and which do not. Are those folders left out which would show all items anyway? E.g. if all tracks of the artist are from the same genre then no genre folder is shown? The same for audio data: If all tracks do have the same format the audio data folder is skipped? yes, it seems so.

That's correct, it's Intelligent browsing one of MinimServer's key features!

Does it have any influence on the searchspeed/screen built-up, whether you fill in 100 or 9999 in the ListVieuwAlbum field?
