RE: Re-tagged items appearing in Recently Added
It looks like the additional albums you weren't expecting might have had their folder names changed. As it says in this section:

When doing a library scan, MinimServer uses the absolute file path of each audio file or playlist file to determine whether the file has been added or changed since the last scan. This means that renaming a file will cause it to be treated as a newly added file and appear at the top of the "recently added" list.

Renaming a folder changes the absolute file path of every file in the renamed folder and its subfolders. This causes all these files to be treated as having been recently added.

Retagging a file does not change its absolute file path and this should not cause the file to be treated as having been recently added.

You could work around the issue with renamed folders as follows:

1) Before you rename a folder, make a copy of added-dates.txt
2) Rename the folder and rescan
3) Restore your copy of added-dates.txt and rescan again

This will prevent the renamed folder showing in the recently added list.

RE: Re-tagged items appearing in Recently Added
If a folder is renamed , does the date mentioned ( folder created at d.hr.min) always change?

RE: Re-tagged items appearing in Recently Added
The 3 albums that appeared in recently added a week later, is this related to updates 219 and 220?
I do not understand why they appeared in recently added , retagging and renaming some folders was done several weeks ago.

RE: Re-tagged items appearing in Recently Added
There were some significant changes in update 219 in how recently added files are recognised. These changes were needed to fix problems reported by other users.

The dates in the added-dates.txt file (also used for last day, last week, etc.) are the date/time of doing the rescan that detected the added file.

Thanks for explaining this.
What triggers MinimServer to add albums/tracks to Recently Played?
The same 7 albums added to Recently Added are seen in played last day.
Pretty sure I did not play them.

RE: Re-tagged items appearing in Recently Added
Please post your played-files.txt file so that I can investigate the cause of this.

A file is added to the "recently played" list and the played-files.txt file when that file is streamed from MinimServer by a UPnP renderer. This would usually be when the renderer plays the file but it is possible that a control point or renderer might open and read the file for some other purpose (for example, to check the audio format, look for an artwork image or look for tag information).

Thanks for this. All these entries look like genuine requests from a renderer to play the files listed. This is based on the date/time stamps being separated by the length of time I would expect playing a track to take.

Is there another way to find this out?
The only album I selected and played yesterday (for testing) was Jake Bugg

RE: Re-tagged items appearing in Recently Added
I think the evidence from this played-files.txt file is conclusive. I checked the timings of the played-files entries for On the Verge (Fabulous Thunderbirds) and they exactly match the song lengths on this page. A similar check for Good News (Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters) showed the same thing.
