some flac files not working with Minimserver

The log shows you are not using the BubbleUPnP local renderer to play the file. The renderer you are using is reading the file in a very strange way, in a series of small chunks instead of as a single stream. This is very inefficient and is also creating the conditions that trigger this problem. I have tried playing the file using the BubbleUPnP local renderer and it works corrrectly and reads the file as a single stream.

Even though reading the file as small chunks is not advisable, it should still work. I am investigating why it is causing the error you are seeing.

I use ffmpeg (version 4.4.2-46) on Synology NAS. Still have it checked. The Emby server does not use the service. That would explain why EMBY plays it without problems.

The problem with reading the file in small chunks is caused by your renderer (music player), not by anything running on the server such as FFmpeg. The trace log doesn't show which renderer you are using but it does show that this is not the BubbleUPnP renderer.

What do you see in BubbleUPnP when you select the renderer icon from the Now Playing page? This icon is above and to the right of the scrub bar.

I don't know exactly what you mean. I do not see such an icon. I have activated the local renderer for you. But it was not enabled until now

Thank for these. The BubbleUPnP screen on my phone is a bit different but these screenshots provide the information that I need. It looks like you have the OPPO UDP-205 selected as your renderer. Is this the device you are using when you get the problem with playing the file? If so, please try playing the file on the BubbleUPnP local renderer to see whether this also shows the problem.

Hi Simon, yes the local Renderer can play this file. I give you a new logfile with playing both renderer and multiple files from the same Album. Maybe it helps.

I have only problem with the first file from the album. Very strange

Thanks for this log. It shows that the BubbleUPnP renderer is reading the file as a single stream and everything is working correctly.

The problem is not related to the file being the first file in the album. It is related to the OPPO renderer reading the file in small chunks. With most files, MinimServer would work correctly when this happens but there are some things about this specific file that cause MinimStreamer to produce the error you are seeing.

This is a bug in MinimStreamer and a fix for it will be included in the next MinimStreamer update. Thanks for all your help and testing that has enabled me to track down exactly what is causing this problem.

A fix for this problem is now available in MinimStreamer 2.0.10.

At present, MinimStreamer 2.0.10 is not installed automatically. It can be installed manually from the About dialog (Show updates) or from the Packages tab of the Properties dialog.
