MinimServer and Simaudio Moon

Update: So in order to test, I ran about 30 feet of Cat 6+ Ethernet cable from my switch in the server room to the living room and directly connected to the mind device. Everything is running smoothly. No drops, regardless of file or format. I believe the problem lies with the switch I have in the living room, so it is time to look for a replacement. Thanks to everyone for all the help!

Hi, I read in the thread that Moon MiND will be supported on the upcoming updates and some of the forumer here have managed to get it working with a special release by the development team.

I had a synology 213 running DSM 4.2 and have installed the latest version of the mimimserver 0.72_1 for ARM processor.

Here's what I have discovered:

1) My MiND app is able to detect Minim on the network but I'm however unable to browse the music on the minim server, it just a blank screen...
2) I have verify the minim server is up and running by installing and running Linn Kinsky ipad app and is able to browse the music and also play the contents in my music folder ( but it stop after 1 sound, although I have load the entire album!)
3) I next used MiND app to browse the content thru Synology Media Server and it work...

Would really appreciate someone could advise me how to get MiND app to work thru Minimserver as I prefer not to use Synology Media server.

PS: The above Moon renderer and Synology NAS are connected to wired network.

You have the exact same setup as I do, and the exact same problem. I imagine that Simon will send you the same build that he sent me (the one that fixes the ohnet bug). There's no other way around this right now, AFAIK.

Yes,Simon send me the link for the download, however I'm traveling abroad right now and do not have the chance to test it.

By the way, how your experience with MiND HD app with Moon? Personally I find that it's a half bake solution comparing with Kinsky app...it doesn't even have a search function..I connected my Moon to a rega dac, I notice that when I play 24/197 files thru the spif to my rega dac, the signal kept sputtering...if I switch to toslink it's working fine...strange..

True, no search; but neither does MinimServer, so I am not in the habit of using it. (I can find what I want easily through my custom FLAC tags.) The internet radio is convenient since I have no other way to get that function. I run the MiND with an XLR cable into my PS Audio Perfect Wave II dac and it sounds very good; extremely close to the ethernet input direct from my Synology. No issues at hi-res or anything, and gapless works as advertised.

Just to Clarify Moon Mind Qnap TS112 using an Ipad Mini, have gone through 2 complete installs and have the same problem as the above . The MInd app see MinimServer but the screen is blank,I sure could use the the ohnet fix ..Looking forward to using this

I own a Moon 380D Neo, which embeds a Mind Streamer unit. I experienced the same problem when trying to access my music files from MinimServer through the Mind App. I did not care much about it, since I prefer using BubbleUPnP as a control point, with which MinimServer is no problem at all.

I revisited the issue after reading this thread. I found a workaround which may prove helpful for those whose prefer using the Mind App as a control point. Install the BubbleUPnP server on your server, go to the Media Servers tab, select MinimServer on the left pane, and in the right pane activate "Create a proxy Media Server on this LAN". In the Mind App, you should then be able to see a "MinimServer ... [proxy]" choice. Select it, and you should have no problem browsing your music. At least, that is what I experience, and MinimServer responds amazingly fast with this setup.
