DSDIFF Edited Master and CUE Sheet
Hi !
I have an album which consists in two files, one big DSDIFF edited master and one Cue Sheet.
According to Minimserver specs. in the last version, I'm not sure it's able to recognize and read that kind of files, including the tags through the cue sheet, but if not (for now), is it some ability to expect in the very next future ?

thanks in advance for your answer(s) !

Emmanuel

The DSDIFF file should work OK with MinimServer.

CUE sheets are not supported now, and they will not be supported in the near future.

RE: DSDIFF Edited Master and CUE Sheet
thank you for your answer !

For some reason I can't understand, the DSDIFF master file couldn't be read using Minimserver. Kinsky can see it, but the playback couldn't start properly.
I tried to split it into individual tracks with JRMC, it worked fine but there are some unpleasant pops during the playback, a bit like with some very old LP..
Which means it's not the proper way, I guess...

any idea ?
cheers,
Emmanuel

Does the DSDIFF file have a .dff file extension? This is necessary for the file to be read correctly by MinimServer.

The problems you are describing might be caused by the renderer or by Kinsky. Which renderer are you using?

RE: DSDIFF Edited Master and CUE Sheet
Yes it does !
I use a Lumin - a network music player. To try this file, I had to use Kinsky and not the Lumin app, because the files have to be tagged to be recognized by Lumin app. Seeking by folder is not possible on it, it is with Kinsky. But, as I said before, even if the DSDIFF file does have a .dff file extension, it didn't work.. I also have SongBook Lite which is able to search by folder too and therefore to find the untagged master .dff file. I should probably try..

thanks for your help!

What platform or NAS are you using to run MinimServer?
