MinimServer 2 for Synology......

I have a Synology 718+ NAS and currently use Logitech streaming. Having had a close brush with a 'no more music' situation courtesy of the Perl update I need to move on and organise something for the slightly old Moon DAC I use. So, MinimServer 2.

The site says download from the Beta directory in Synology but there's no MinimServer 2 there. I see reference to Docker here but that seems complicated and that often leads to problems.

Is MinimServer 2 downloadable to use directly? Any advice?

Are you running DSM 6.2.3 or DSM 7.0 beta on your Synology NAS?

In ether case, you should be able to install MinimServer 2 from the DSM Package Center in the usual way. See this section for detailed instructions.

Thanks for getting back. It's not there as far as I can see. Only the original MinimServer is available. I can load .spk packages manually and that'd be no problem if I could find it.

Running DSM 6.2.3-25426 Update 3, which, I believe is the latest.

You should be able to find MinimServer 2.0.18-1005 in the Package Center for this DSM version.

According to this page, the latest DSM version for your NAS is 6.2.4-25556. This shouldn't affect which MinimServer version you can download.
