Cant Install Minimserver 2 on QNAP TS209

Hi

Am getting a data file error at around 80% installin Minimserver 2. Removed JRE ARM package but then got an error suggesting I needed to install it, so did. v8.

Have removed the Minimserver share but made no difference. I notice the share that is re-created by install has folders but no content

I am using the package called MinimServer-2.0.12-armv5.qpkg

Have an 0.8 install that I removed before.

Any suggestions on what to do next? Have attached the log.

There are detailed instructions for installing MinimServer 2 on a TS-209 on this page. This link was giving a 404 error but this is now fixed. If you follow these instructions carefully, everything should work.

Wow. Thanks for the quick reply. I followed that and still got the same error I'm, afraid. Have attached my log again.

A web search for this message suggests that some files might have been left in the /share/HDA_DATA/.qpkg folder from a previous install. Please do the following:

1) Login to the NAS in a terminal window
2) Run this command: find /share/HDA_DATA/.qpkg/MinimServer
3) Post the output from this command here

This shows that you already have the files for MinimServer 2 installed. What does the QPKG Plugins page say?

Only NPTL and JRE_ARM.

OK, so the files are out of sync with the page. The simplest solution is to delete the files by running this command:

rm -rf /share/HDA_DATA/.qpkg/MinimServer

After this, you should be able to do the install.

Did that and still get installation failed. :-( And the files are back

I have done some experiments and it appears that the TS-209/409/109 cannot handle an installation package that contains a digital signature. I am investigating how to solve this. Thank you for letting me know about this problem.
