I cannot reproduce this problem even though I have tried doing exactly the same as you.

I am not sure what to suggest. No other users have reported this problem. There might be a setting in DSM or something in an installed package that is causing the problem. A less likely possibility is some corruption within your DSM installation.

Fixed it again be restarting it twice. Strange.

Was this restarting the NAS or restarting MinimServer?

This could be a timing issue with DSM starting MinimServer after a reboot before the system language setting has been fully initialized.

The solution is to set the language as a MinimServer property by setting the serverOptions property to language=de. This overrides the value passed to MinimServer by DSM.
