Unable to start after update to Minimserver 2
Hello Simon,
I updated to Minimserver 2 & Minimwatch 2 yesterday and have been unable to get it running. I keep getting the following message in 'Status' "Media server status for Music Collection: ErrorRefresh status Rescan This page was last updated at 08:41:15 on 02 Feb 2021 Incorrect tag name 'Mediatype' in property 'tagCustom'" Also as it won't run I cannot use Minimwatch 2 either. I have attached my settings from the original Minimserver. I have tried adding a profile and resetting it, but I still get the same message...? I'm a bit lost and any help you can give would be great

It looks like something went wrong when you did the upgrade. The error message you posted is from a MinimServer 0.8 status page.
What device are you using to run MinimServer 2? What steps did you follow to do the upgrade? Please describe these steps in as much detail as possible. |

Hello Simon I upgraded using the update option given via the synology NAS drive in the package centre.
Synology NAS, running DSM 6.2.3-25426 Update 3 Went into package centre and clicked update on Minimserver Is there anyway I can do a fresh install and then just re enter my settings via Minimwatch? PS thanks for helping, I'm lost without my music..... |

This should be fine. I have just tried it on my DS118. Please do the following:
1) In the Package Center, click Installed 2) In the Install section, click the MinimServer green icon (not the Open button) 3) From the MinimServer page, click Uninstall 4) When prompted, select "Uninstall MinimServer and backup the configuration file" 5) Reinstall MinimServer from the Package Center and make sure "Run after installation" is checked 6) When MinimServer has finished installing, click Open in the Package Center 7) MinimServer 2 should now be running with no errors 8) You can now install MinimWatch 2 to view your settings. Some settings will not be active until you have activated a trial license from the MinimServer 2 configuration web page. 9) You trial license expires after 30 days. You need to purchase and activate a full license before this happens. |

Ok, its now running but the Minimserver is not visible on the network. I have given it 5 minutes and still not showing on Naim app, BubbleUPnP app or Minimwatch (still grey). I have tried stopping and restarting but still the same. Sorry for being a pain and thanks again.

Sorry Simon, now showing (will need to update settings etc) but minimwatch is still grey. Any ideas?

Have you installed MinimWatch 2? This is required for MinimServer 2.
If you have installed MinimWatch 2, this might be a firewall issue. You can find some suggestions in this section. |

Firewall is off, subnet is correct and still grey after refresh... |
