Just a wild guess - is the Mac entering power save mode?

RE: Random interruptions
The problem is knowing what is Minim and what is Mosaic. I am getting none of these problems with other software...
When trying to restart the Vollenveider album from the queue nothing happened after several attempts - Mosaic? Minim?

I should not have to be sorting this out! This is really between you and dCS

Come on, you are not obliged to use MinimServer!
If you are so happy with other software than please use that instead of complaining.
MinimServer is freeware and its developer Simon maintains a very high service level to my opinion, something you have to treat with respect.
He always tries to sort problems out for MinimServer users and often makes changes to his software to improve his product and spends hours on this forum to make things better.
There might be something specific going on in your setup that causes MinimServer not to work properly.
The only way to solve these problems is to be flexible and open minded and
listen to Simon and other forum members offering their help.

Kind regards,

Peter

RE: Random interruptions
dCS is trying to FORCE me to use Minimserver

The software - at present - is NOT STABLE in my set up

RE: Random interruptions
The log shows no network activity between 12:43:50 and 13:03:06, followed by a very rapid sequence of browsing requests received between 13:03:06 and 13:03:07. There are far too many requests to have been entered by the user in one second. As I suggested in a previous post, this could be because the Mac had powered down its network connection, causing these requests to be queued by the network until the user pressed a key.

RE: Random interruptions
As aan experiment, I tried to reproduce this problem by having my MacBook enter power save mode. When I did this, dCS Mosaic became completely unresponsive and no browsing was possible.

What exactly happened when you were trying to play a track at approximately 13:00? I presume you did not perform a large number of browsing requests in less than a second. I am finding it hard to construct a scenario that could have caused all these browsing requests to be received by MinimServer in such a short time. Were you perhaps selecting a track from the playing queue or from a playlist?

RE: Random interruptions
If the requests all concerned the #10 track of the Vollenveider album I was trying to restart play from the playqueue which had frozen.

Just seen this post.

I have just unchecked the power save mode (Power nap) just in case. Not optimistic this is the solution since the problem did not occur with Asset in the past.

Screen saver is set to about 10-12 minutes - the iMac display is not too precise on the matter...
