RE: Resampling
If you are on the latest QTS version 4.3.5, you need x86_64. 2GB of RAM is fine.

RE: Resampling
There have been many comments here saying that SOX is better for resampling. I haven't tried it because I don't do resampling when I transcode.

RE: Resampling
Simon ,
tried with sox but I prefer the classic ffmpeg For flac:wav24 , I have to put the semicolon at the end ? as you suggested for Qnap for the stream conv. /mnt/ext/opt/medialibrary/bin/ffmpeg thank you |

RE: Resampling
If you are doing resampling, the semicolon is before the resample frequency (for example, flac:wav24;192).
If you are not doing resampling and want to use ffmpeg for convolving, the semicolon is at the end (for example, flac:wav24;). If you are not doing resampling and don't want to use ffmpeg for convolving, no semicolon is needed (for example, flac:wav24). |

RE: Resampling
A lot of time has passed since the last reply in this topic. Are the settings recommended here still the best ones currently? I would like to achieve the best possible quality.

RE: Resampling
Nothing has changed since this thread was last active. There is no "best" setting because what sounds best to you will depend on your equipment, your room and your ears. The only way to find out what is best for you is by doing listening comparisons of different settings.
