Lumin & Kinsky do not see MinimServer
I used to have MinimServer running on a PC and that worked great.
I have added a server running WHS2011 to the system to store my music. On that Server I installed MinimServer 0.71 and the log reports that it's running and that the startup was completed. So far so good, however neither the Kinsky or the Lumin app to control my music, can see MinimServer. They both can access asset, running on that same server. How can I make both apps work with MinimServer? |

Please try temporarily disabling the firewall to see if this enables MinimServer to be seen. If this is the problem, you need to add a rule to the firewall to allow access for Java. |

RE: Lumin & Kinsky do not see MinimServer
Thanks for the tip about the Firewall. I switched it off completely and was able to see MinimServer on both app's.
Unfortunately I had to reboot the server and after that MinimServer did no longer start. And I could not get it running. So I re-installed java and MinimServer and I think it's working again (it shows in the task manager). But I can's see what it's doing on the home server. So I installed MinimWatch to see it working from my normal pc. But when I try to start it I get a warning stating: "C:\Program Files\MinimWatch\lib\ohNet.dll: Can't load AMD64-bit.dll on a IA 32-bit platform" What am I doing wrong? And is there a way to configure MinimServer on the home server? My apologies for these probably stupid questions.... |

The message is telling you that you have installed 32-bit Java with MinimWatch x64 on your normal PC. The simplest solution is to uninstall MinimWatch x64 and install MinimWatch x86 instead. See point 1 in "Installing or updating MinimWatch" on this page. |
