RE: Resampling
Sorry to revive an old thread but I am having some issues getting this to work on my QNAP TS-131 nas which has an ARM processor. I have extracted the ffmpeg file from the GIT build in link posted above http://johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/. I've tried downloading both the 32bit and 64bit version of ffmpeg and copied it to the /share/Public folder on my nas. In the stream.converter field I changed the value from:"ffmpeg" to "/share/Public/ffmpeg". I also changed the permissions to allow execute. However, when I try to use the stream.options that I've been using for a while on my Windows machines I get an error. This is what I have in stream.options:
convOut=-af aresample=resampler=soxr:precision=28 The error I get is "convout setting incorrect for converter." Not sure what I am doing wrong. Perhaps ffmpeg is not supported by the ARM processor? Thank you in advance. |

I then restarted Minimserver. But when I use this in stream.options convOut=-af aresample=resampler=soxr:precision=28 I still get the same error. |

This means that the version of ffmpeg that you are using was built without libsoxr. |

I thought based on reading this thread that the ffmpeg file found at the following site has libsoxr: http://johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/ |

If you are able to find an ARM build with libsoxr support, I would be very interested to hear about it. |

RE: Resampling
tboooe,
I have armhf and armel FFmpeg static builds with libsoxr support at https://www.johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/ I'm not sure which your machine supports, but one of them should do the trick. Let me know if you run into any problems. Thanks, John Van Sickle |

RE: Resampling
I have installed minimserver version 0.8.4 instead 0.8.3 and could apply new upsampling opportunities - Input type filters: now all input flac files are converted to wav24;176 or wav24;192 with streaming option: convOut=-af aresample=resampler=soxr:precision=28 (SoX resampler VHQ).
In spite of the fact that the Linn has own upsampler, the sound of my streamer Linn Renew Klimax DS noticeably became better - audio resolution and details increased. Somebody has a similar experience? |
