RE: Multiple Instances
Thanks, I'll have a go. I did recently try installing MinimWatch on one of my PC's but had terrible problems with Kaspersky AV which tried to block it at every turn so I gave in and uninstalled MinimWatch.

RE: Multiple Instances
I have installed MinimWatch on a win 10 PC on my network. I get one grey icon on my desktop indicating there are no instances of MinimServer. When I look on the same PC Network Locations I have two instances of MinimServer. Instructions tell me I can do nothing with a grey icon?

RE: Multiple Instances
I now cannot uninstall MinimWatch. It will not uninstall because it is running, I can't stop it running because the icon is grey and so exit not available

If you right-click on the grey icon. you should be able to select Exit.

What instructions are telling you this?

It is likely that your Windows firewall settings are blocking inbound connections to MinimWatch. To confirm this, try completely disabling the firewall. If this solves the problem, you need to set a firewall rule to enable inbound conections to Java Platform SE binary.

right clicking on the grey icon produces the standard windows dialog box starting with Open..

RE: Multiple Instances
This is the MinimWatch desktop launch icon. You need to right-click on the grey (or green) minim icon in the Windows system tray. If you don't see a minim icon there, click on the upward-pointing arrow to view the system tray icon overflow area.

The instructions are those found under Controlling MinimServer using the minim icon.

The firewall on the PC I'm using is Windows Firewall but I'll have a go disabling it
