Thee are a few iPad apps that can do this. See this post for some suggestions.

Yes. But not directly and over local network with PlugPlayer from appstore.

A new firmware is imminent - looks like it's called v3. Just going to check if it's available for internet download yet.

Edit - yes it is! Install went faultlessly and Minimserver is working perfectly.

RE: Melco Audiophile NAS
Dear all,

first of all let me thank all of you for the masses of great information within this threat! Great work ;-)!

I am quite a new owner of a Melco N1A music server. It is included in my audio system (Audionet DNP Pre-Amp, Audinet Amp 1V2 Power Amp, Progressive Audio Extreme 3 speakers, Clearaudio Performance DC turntable).

Never had any problems with the Melco and the setup was very quick and easy. Nevertheless, I used Minim Server on my previous setup (on a QNAP NAS) and got quite curious about using Minim instead of Twonky on the Melco.

@Simon, would you please be so kind to set me a PN with setup information for MINIM on the Melco N1A?

Thank you very much!!

Cheers,
Chris

RE: Melco Audiophile NAS
I had this installed on Wednesday when I went along to my dealer to get new firmware installed on the SSD drives (some minor bug apparently). A great upgrade, and it also lets you attach a CD drive to the USB ports & rip directly. but for me, the biggest plus, apart from an increase in sound quality, is that the Melco now has drivers installed for my Chord QBD76HDSD. Yippee! Had an interesting chat with Alan Ainsley too.

RE: Melco Audiophile NAS
Hi Simon,

I now have Minim running on N1A with new V3.0 firmware upgrade. Twonky doesn't like Qobuz downloads and lists the tracks (WAV downloads) in random fashion and not in album order, Minim though doesn't 'see' any of the WAV downloads from Qobuz at all? I remember an IDv3 tag issue (or file size mis-match when unzipping WAVs from Qobuz) and trying some workarounds now (not keen on FLAC:WAV if I can get WAV natively, but Qobuz may convert downloads on the fly to your chosen format from a Master file source anyway how would I know)
Has this been remedied as yet so Minim sees the WAV downloaded files to play back that have been downloaded from Qobuz as purchased files ?

I download as FLAC and all is fine, but I do prefer WAV as my Master format I'm afraid.
Thank you.
