minimserver using about 2 gigs of RAM?

After running on my Linux system overnight I saw that the java process for minimserver was using 15% of my memory (total memory installed is 16gigs). Is this normal behaviour?

MinimServer memory usage depends on the size of your library, the tags in your files and your MinimServer configuration options. Also, the heap usage (active memory usage) might be much less than the total amount of virtual memory reserved by the Java runtime.

If you set the MinimServer resourceInfo property to 5000, MinimServer will show a memory usage summary in the system log during startup and periodically during other activity. The important number is "heap bytes used". Does this increase over time after startup has completed or does it stay roughly the same?

I restarted the service yesterday and the memory-usage stayed around 1%, this was also the case only to have jumped up to a steady 15% in the morning.

Were/How can I set this property for me to check?

Select Properties from the minim icon in your menu bar and then select the Advanced tab from the Properties dialog. You will see the resourceInfo property there.
