What do people think of this proposal?

IMHO it sounds ok. If both, server and renderer, accept the faulty file, it will play. If one link in the chain rejects the file, it will not. So it is good if minimserver tolerates it.

There are some changes in MinimServer update 81 (now available) that should enable MinimServer to process many AIFF and WAV files that were previously excluded from the MinimServer library. These files now produce warnings (which means they are included in the library) instead of errors (which means they are excluded from the library).
