In Bubble. If I go Playlist>BBC Radio 3>add to playlist>play.... at which point up comes the 714 message
in Naim, no message appears; just silence
I have stream. transcode set at *:L16

Reg

Have you changed [R3] to [R3;aac] as suggested by Pastim? If so, please change this back to [R3], then do a MinimServer rescan and try again.

One last thing, have you gone through the whole Naim setup instructions again from start to finish and checked it all? For instance, I don't think I've seen you mention the stream.converter setting which should contain ffmpeg or avconv.

Stream converter says "ffmpeg". Is that right?

Should be. Simoncn may have suggestions for other checks.

Does "no luck" mean that you are still getting the Illegal MIME type Error 714 from BubbleUPnP?

This error is probably caused by having "Mime-type check" enabled under UPnP Tweaks in your BubbleUPnP settings. Please try disabling this check and try again with BubbleUPnP.

Please also try clearing the UPnP cache in the Naim app and try again with that.

Anyone have any suggestions.

I am using the BBCRadio.m3U file that was posted and my added URL's are:

http://192.168.9.104:9790/minimstreamer/*/R3 (works)
and
http://192.168.9.104:9790/minimstreamer/*/R5 (connecting..loading..silence)

Thanks.

I'm not sure which BBCRadio.m3u file you're using. Is it the sample file that's linked from this page (step 3)? I have tried all these streams and they are working for me.

Are you located outside the UK? This makes a difference to which streams are available.

Hi Simon,
Sorry for the late reply, have been playing around a bit.
Finally succeeeded by putting this URL into my Frontier Silicon Added Station and my Roberts 83i plays it.....though not sure why.

http://192.168.9.104:9790/minimstreamer/...nscode.wav

The important difference seems to be that the URL that works has BBCR5L for the stream ID and the URL that doesn't work has R5 for the stream ID. This probably means you have edited the sample BBC Radio.m3u file to change R5 to BBCR5L. You should find that

http://192.168.9.104:9790/minimstreamer/*/BBCR5L

also works. I strongly recommend that you use this URL instead of the URL that you are currently using, as there is no guarantee that the URL you are currently using will continue to work with future updates to MinimServer and MinimStrreamer.

They could be separate by syntax, or a separate property. I have, of course, no idea if that would be easy of difficult to implement.

Just a thought.

There is an existing setting that does something very similar to this. If you put this in the stream.transcode property:

*:wav24/-^

a UPnP control point will play the stream with transcoding and the radio URL preset in an internet radio will play the stream without transcoding.
