I notice a couple of small new features today in my favourite control app - Lumin
1) It will automatically delete the oldest files in a play list when the list becomes full. Presumably it means files at the top of the playlist - not by creation date!
2) It will automatically remove duplicate files in a play list.
By play list it seems to mean the active list as it appears on your streamer or whatever.
Both these features are able to be switched out.

Good to hear. Especially 2) would be to restrictive for my use cases.

Lumin just got a bit better.
Get the latest version.
Open the app and set up a play list.
See the image (typically the LP cover) on top left.
Click on this - instead of giving a page size image of the covert now gives you a standard playing dialogue (a bit like Linn apps).
Click on the image in this and you get to the full page image of the item.

I am not sure if I like this new Now Playing view. I usually touched the cover art to see it in full size. This took one touch to open it and another touch anywhere to close the full view again. Now I need two clicks to open it and two to return to the library view. And the last click cannot be done at the same position where you touched the screen to open it, but you have to touch the next song in the bottom left corner or the streamer's name at the top right corner..

But I will see if I get used to the Now Playing screen and if I need it in any way. (Currently I do not know why I should need it.)

I like the lumin app. (And as I am using a lumin streamer, it probably is the preferred choice. Beside BubbleUPnP on android). But I question the new Now Playing screen.

So not every enhancement is a good thing. E.g. I am really missing the action icons to enqeue a track into the playlist from a track that alreay is in the playlist. I often did use this to play a track again as next song that I did play before. Now I have to find the track again in the library to be able to enqeue it again.

I like the new “now playing view” but I don’t like the way volume control performs. The linn like button is not very responsive, the slider and + and - button on the “general “ page perform much better.

Peter, I agree with you. I presume it is a bug which will be fixed. It works fine on my iPhone.

Lumin have just issued version 12.0.0 of their control app.
It boasts
Support for Amazon Music Unlimited on selected models with Firmware 20 and also support for MQA QRONO d2a.

More importantly for those of us who like to use the app on other makes of streamer (Linn in my case) they seem to have rectified the bug on the Now Playing Display screen which meant that the volume control on it did not work.
