RE: Unusual behaviour from Recently Added
How did you get to the Properties screen that shows two entries for MinimServer?

To get to the screen I am seeing, do the following:

1) Open File Station by clicking the File Station icon
2) In the left-hand column, click MinimServer
3) In the right-hand section, double-click 'etc'
4) In the right-hand section, double-click 'recent'
5) You should now see a screen showing three files: added-files.txt, added-dates.txt and played-files.txt
6) There should be columns titled Privilege and Owner. For the added-dates.txt file, what do you see in these columns?

I am attaching a screenshot showing what I see for the 'recent' folder.

How many entries do you have configured to be held in the recently added file?

I am not sure from this whether all files from previous scans are being removed from added-dates.txt by a new scan or whether only some files from previous scans are being removed. Please clarify.

Aha! I believe I simply misunderstood the fact that the feature has a limit on it. The disappearing albums were the "older" ones.

I've now extended each of these up to 1,000 items.

I believe the files were just hitting the limit of 300 items. I've increased it to 1,000 and I think it's behaving as intended.

Is there a reason for having a strict limit of 1,000 items here, though? Over the course of a year I may well add more than that, and it might be nice to have the information available. Would it be possible to remove the maximum limit (or set it extremely high)?

RE: Unusual behaviour from Recently Added
The limit of 1000 is set for performance reasons. The implementation of this feature within MinimServer would not scale well to lists larger than 1000 items.

Also, this feature is not intended to provide a history of when albums were added. It is for showing recently added files, as the name implies. If you need a historical record, you can add a tag (for example, AddedDate) to the files when you add them to your library.
