RE: Artwork - special characters
On a related topic I've been creating artwork for composer and performer and assumed it wasn't possible to create this where the composer/performer name includes special characters e.g. Dvořák, Béla Bartók, Rosenmüller. For, when trying to save the artwork it refuses to accept such letters. Other than changing the name in the music file by removing these characters e.g. Bela Bartok, is there a way round this, otherwise I've simply left these artists artwork blank? Thanks.

Which operating system or filesystem is refusing those characters? I've just tested on Windows (NTFS) and Linux (ext4) and they're fine. I guess it could be the software you're using to save the images?

Simon has a workaround as mentioned earlier in this post but it's only for a handful of characters.

Thanks, I stand corrected. I realise by using copy/paste from the image selected I can save the name with those characters. This should then align with the existing name format in my Melco/SongKong music folders.

All characters not in this list can be used in filenames on all platforms, so these are the only characters for which a workaround is needed.
