RE: Minimserver2 functionality
Today I installed Melco Firmware 3.92b on my N1ZH. Then I downloaded Minimserver. Then I went to the http://192 etc etc to configure minimserver. I paid £28 for a full license.
However, I did not receive a confirmation email and, despite having minimserver selected on the front panel of the melco, there is no sign of the library on the app I am using.
I have used minimserver in the past and always liked it. I stopped using it for a while because I was waiting for it to be built in to the melco.
In addition, my mac will not let me download minimwatch - something to do with security, despite me trying to overrride this in settings.

RE: Minimserver2 functionality
To activate your license, you need to do the following:

1) Open the MinimServer configuration web page by typing http://x.x.x.x:9790 into the address bar of your web browser, where x.x.x.x is the IP address displayed on the front panel of your Melco.

2) You will see a license page followed by a welcome page followed by the Status page.

3) From the Status page, select the License tab

4) From the License page, select 'Activate full license'.

5) On this page, enter your email address and the license code from the email you have received and click the 'Activate license' button.

When you download and install MinimWatch 2 on your Mac, you need to follow all the steps in this section. Steps 5, 6 and 7 are very important.

RE: Minimserver2 functionality
Exactly the same way that you installed MinimStreamer 0.7 when you were using MinimServer 0.8. From MinimWatch 2, select the Packages tab and take it from there.

RE: Minimserver2 functionality
If you had the MinimWatch window open before activating the full license, you need to refresh the list of available packages. You can do this by closing the MinimWatch properties window and reopening it.

I am sorry to ask another question - I am a bit rusty. How do I program minimstreamer so that I can search music by bit depth, sample rate etc?
Also, How do I convert Aiff to Wav?

Bit depth search etc.
Refer to Special index and item tags.

Conversion.
Refer to MinimStreamer transcoding.

Some eg. but many more that can change bit depth etc etc.
AIFF:WAV for internal transcode
AIFF:WAV; for FFMPEG transcode

Many thanks. All working now except for one thing. With transcoding (and ffmpeg is installed on Melco) I cannot make aac:wav24;192 work for some reason.
