RE: Playlist Trouble
Well, I enabled debug, and I can't really see the difference between Kodi (which doesn't do the playlist correctly) and PlugPlayer (which does). All I can see is that Kodi asks for an item which doesn't exist. Nor can I see why Kodi gets it wrong when playing the item from the playlist, but not when it plays the same item directly. I suppose I don't know what to look for.

RE: Playlist Trouble
Can you zip the log files (important to save space on the forum server) and attach them to a post here?

To create a suitable log file, click 'Save as' from the log window after the item has failed to play or has started playing sucessfully.

RE: Playlist Trouble
The archive log.zip contains four text files (utf-8, LF line breaks):

log1-kodi-playlist.txt Kodi skipping items in a playlist
log2-kodi-item.txt Kodi playing one of those items when selected directly
log3-asset-playlist.txt Asset Control playing the same playlist w/o skipping
log4-plug-playlist.txt PlugPlayer playing the same playlist w/o skipping

RE: Playlist Trouble
Where is the archive log.zip file? Did you intend to attach it to your post? To do this, you need to click Add Attachment as well as New Attachment/Browse.

RE: Playlist Trouble
Thanks very much! This confirms that Kodi is sending a Browse request for the playlist. Please can you repeat this log only (log1 in the zip file) with the logging level set to Trace. Many thanks.

RE: Playlist Trouble
Thanks for this log and for the quick response. This looks like a bug in MinimServer. I will investigate and post back here when I have more information. Many thanks for helping me find this problem.

RE: Playlist Trouble
Are the items that don't play in Kodi part of a MinimServer group?

RE: Playlist Trouble
Yes. The only item on the playlist that plays is the item which is not in a MinimServer group.
