Many thanks for the clarity.

Re this point:
- The recent workaround for the Kazoo/Mobile Safari problem on iOS might have some impact on scrolling performance. I would be interested to hear if anyone notices a difference. -

Not totally sure what this workaround is/was but in case it is relevant. The other day I was able to consistently crash something at will on my ipad air while scrolling album covers in Kazoo. I say something because the symptoms were that Kazoo remained open but the music server and most other tiles disappeared (Qobuz and Tidal etc.) and the minimserver disappeared from the available server list (others were there still). The only way to recover seemed to be to close Kazoo and reopen it. I could repeat this at will at the time.

I just tried to do it again and it seems OK and so nothing to pursue but at least you have the info.

I had assumed it was a Kazoo problem but not too sure. All good at the moment.

The workaound for the album covers problem causes a lot of extra TCP connections to be opened from Kazoo to MinimServer. Perhaps this stresses iOS to the extent that it can cause these other problems.

Not sure I can have the workaround because my album covers are still adrift on the ipad - or they were at the weekend. Is the workaround a release or covered in another post somewhere?

I am still on 0.8.3 update 66 and minimwatch has been running.

To get the workaround, you need MinimServer update 66 and the latest beta version of Kazoo (see the Linn forum for the exact version number).

It's possible that the previous crash you were seeing was related to the Mobile Safari bug that could cause album covers to get scrambled. Please let me know if it happens again.
