Thank you Simon, that was a good remark.
On the firewall I left the multicast forwarding and went to a set-up with PIM-SM with a Rendezvous Point, but the result is the same. The (debian) server where the 2 minimserver instances run (both with different http and ohnet ports) also has a Logitech Media Server (LMS) installed. I activated the UPnP plug-in for that one, and strangly that one is always immediately available (probably the LMS plugin is sending more NOTIFY messages). I will create a ticket with Sophos to check if they correctly handle M-SEARCH with PIM. To be sure it was nothing on the set-up, I added a AP in the wired segment, and then all control points immediately find the minimservers and the Linn DS. |
