You can login to the NAS using ssh and use the Linux 'find' command to search for filenames containing a specified string (e.g., an extract from one of the duplicated track names).

Thanks but, unfortunately, I am rather unfamiliar with ssh and Linux. Using Finder on the Mac seems to work albeit somewhat tedious.

Just discovered another "nightmare" but will start another thread since it does not quite involve deleted albums.
