Folk vs (80)Folk
I'm using Puddletag to edit my tags and I selected a set of files and entered the genre by typing in "Folk". But when I navigate my genre list I find that some of the tracks are showing up as "Folk" and some as "(80)Folk". I think I get similar behavior for Bluegrass. I guess this has to do with the use of numerical genre codes? (I have a mixture of flac and mp3 and so it's possible that all the mp3 are showing up under the one heading and the flac under the other. I didn't have time to investigate further.)
I don't want to see numerical genre codes, so I'm wondering what the solution is. Is this a tagging problem? Or is it a server setting problem? |
