Naim Uniti 2 and mac mini - tracks appear multiple times

Minim was recommended by my Hi Fi shop. I previously had 2 years plus frustration with Elgato which kept needing to be re-installed and restarted. I had practically given up streaming and was evaluating music players such as Amarra.

Minim seems stable and reliable so so far so good but there is a strange feature which is probably the result of my omitting some step.

When I select on my Naim by artist multiple listings of each album or song appear in the little Uniti window. For example, I select ALT (the artist) and then the single track I have which is Mandala. This appears 19 times although only one song is in the library! It will keep playing until I select something else.

Has anyone experienced similar and can advise how to correct this?

I think this is because the Intelligent Browsing feature of MinimServer allows an album or song to be found using multiple browsing paths. If you select an artist for playing (rather than selecting an album or song), the control point is recursively browsing all paths from that artist and is adding duplicate entries to the playlist for everything it finds. The solution is to select a song or album for playing instead of selecting an artist for playing.

Does this fit with the behaviour that you are observing?
