incremental or realtime scanning

Hi,

I am new to the minimserver community but I like this server for my magic stream 6. I do have a couple of questions:
1. how can I force scanning of only newly added files (incremental scan)?
rescan does a complete rescan from scratch (by the looks of it)
2. what does minimwatch icw minimserver?
I hoped it would give me more control over files and rescanning.
3. It maybe a noob question or a case of not reading all info available but I don't get a most of the server properties except contentdir
