Originally I had also used dbpoweramp to rip and tag the files.

As regards the files appearing in the untagged list: dbpoweramp gives you an option to
overwrite the existing file while adding tags, which I have used, so its unlikely there are multiple tags, but I will check.

Thanks for helping.

There is an option in dBpoweramp to write WAV tags as LIST and/or ID3. You might have had this option set to LIST when you first ripped and tagged the files.

Hi

Further to the discussion above, I find now that certain untagged flac files, even after tagging, appear in the 'untagged view'. I added the album tag, so they appear in the 'albums' view but also as untagged. There aren't multiple copies of the files, I have checked both locations, and they are the same. What could be the reason for this?

Thanks
