In my case, this path is '/volume1/music/My Music' but that triggers the following error message:

Content directory is not valid: /volume1/music/My+Music

I guess my use of space characters in the folder name is the problem but I thought that most versions of Unix accepted such embedded blanks years ago. It certainly didn't cause any issues for my previous installation of MinimServer 0.72 on this NAS.

This problem with using space characters in the content directory field of the status page is fixed in update 17 for MinimServer 0.8.1. To apply this update, you need to install MinimWatch 0.8.1 on another computer and do the following:

1) Start MinimWatch. MinimServer will show as a red icon.
2) Right-click the red icon and select About
3) In the About dialog, click 'Show updates'
4) Follow the prompts to install MinimServer-0.8-update-17 and relaunch MinimServer
5) After MinimServer restarts, you will still have a red icon
6) You can now enter a content directory containing spaces into the content directory field of the status page to complete the setup process
