Quote:btw, i noticed that if files from one specific album reside in different folders, MinimServer shows two or more instances of the very same album. the tags of all the album files are identical except for the 'Title'-tag. the files are mp3s with embedded album art.

MinimServer doesn't automatically combine albums with the same album name in different folders. This is a feature, not a bug.

Disagree! A TAG reading server shouldn't care any folder structure! I can put all song in a single folder, or place each song in a separate folder, and still get the same browsing content as long as TAG values are correct. The actual folder structure is only for user's file management. IMO Smile

This was a Twonky feature (err, bug) that I have moaned about for many years, but they eventually told me they just could not fix it (which actually meant 'would not fix it').

You do need to consider using something to disambiguate same named albums. I've had to deal with this problem in Twonky (for years) where, for example, I had two albums called Red (Black Uhuru and King Crimson) and Twonky showed them as one big album called 'Red' (with all the tracks mixed up). I had to rename them Red (BU) and Red (KC) to separate them into two albums. There were many instances of this in my collection - even one or two triple examples - and it took me ages to sort it all out.

After sorting out the above, I always had to check there wasn't another album with the same name before adding a new one to my collection; it is one of the things I'll most certainly not miss about Twonky!! Smile
