RE: Having issues with minimwatch in Ubuntu
Yes I did. I just followed the following page (http://akbarahmed.com/2012/06/24/uninsta...ntu-linux/) which was helpful as it allowed me to uninstall some 'slave' packages.
The command - sudo update-alternatives --display java - now gives the following java - auto mode link currently points to /opt/java/32/jre1.7.0_45/bin/java /opt/java/32/jre1.7.0_45/bin/java - priority 2000 slave java.1.gz: /opt/java/32/jre1.7.0_45/man/man1/java.1.gz Current 'best' version is '/opt/java/32/jre1.7.0_45/bin/java'. And your earlier command - java -version gives: java version "1.7.0_45" Java SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_45-b18) Java HotSpot Server VM (build 24.45-b08, mixed mode) So I assume I now have only one version installed and no duplicates or earlier versions or IceTea versions etc. However I still get the same error message that doesn't allow the icon to appear and therefore no access to minimwatch. Cheers, Rene |
