I did restart MinimServer after making the change, and then I rebooted and restarted MinimServer just to be sure. The result was the same.

I don't understand why you're not seeing the duplicate files. I tried this myself (by copying the "disc 2" folder of a 2-disc album), and the duplicate files are visible in Kinsky as expected.

Edit: What happens if you browse by "folder view"?
