RE: Feature Suggestion: Tidal Connect and Qobuz Connect
Apologies for the slow reply. As I understand it, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz Connect are control-point apps that use proprietary protocols to communicate with the TIDAL and Qobuz cloud servers. MinimServer is a server application, not a control-point app, so it would be out of scope to try to add this control-point functionality to it.
I have looked at what would be involved in making MinimServer able to access the Qobuz cloud server and stream music from it. This makes more sense technically because in this scenario MinimServer would be acting as a server. Unfortunately this is not technically possible because of some elements of the Qobuz API that need to be implemented by either a renderer or possibly a control point but cannot be implemented by a server. The Melco HD app should be able to stream both TIDAL and Qobuz to the Melco internal USB DAC renderer. |
