RE: iPad control point?
There are several. I use MinimServer to feed a PSA PerfectWave II dac. I mainly use PSA's own eLyric control point (not to be confused with the EMM music server software). It is a bit buggy (sometimes quits for no reason, but the music keeps playing and I just restart it). However it lets one control PSA-specific functions like choosing inputs, which is a necessity for me since the remote control doesn't work due to the distance and angle from my chair. Kinsky has been my second choice, and many MinimServer users like it. I just got the Audionet control point, which is very fast and has some good features. It is now probably tied with Kinsky for second place (but you have to pay $7.00 if you want playlists with more than five songs, unless you own Audionet hardware -- but at least you can try it for free).
