Sort order for Titles

No problem, I should have asked for clarification.

In the MinimServer browse tree (what you see in your control point) you have the 'albums' and 'items' lists (for want of a better word), and a number of indexes that allow you to subset your "lists" by the tags in your files (I'm ignoring playlists for this explanation).

Whilst making index selections does subset the "lists" they are otherwise completely independent of your selections i.e. it doesn't matter how you get to the lists, they're always sorted and displayed the same way (as defined in your configuration), or to put it another way, you can only have one sort order per object (items, albums, each index).

I hope that makes sense?

Surely you'd want your tracks to be sorted by discnumber and tracknumber once you've selected an album ("and in A-Z order under 'Albums'")?

I am a peculiar animal in that I collect single music tracks, and store them in one big folder on my PC. I tag them in the 'Album' field by their artist names, thus creating virtual 'Greatest Hits Collection' albums. It harks back to my D.J. days of having a large record box full of 7" singles to pick from! Strange it may be - but it works for me!

MinimServer works for me on every other level - I'm enjoying viewing my music collection from the other configurable angles!
