RE: MinimServer recommended Tagging
Welcome to the MinimServer forum!
There is no recommended tagging structure for MinimServer. The Intelligent Browsing approach used by MinimServer enables you to browse your library by any tags in any order (not just a fixed hierarchy such as Genre/Artist/Album) and is designed to work well with any set of tags. As a starting point, the default configuration of MinimServer automatically reads the following tags if present: Album, AlbumArtist, Artist, Composer, Date, DiscNumber, DiscSubtitle, Genre, Group, Title, TrackNumber. You can configure MinimServer to read and index any other tag names in addition to these. You should tag your files with information that is important to you and reflects the way you want to browse your library. It's a good idea to try a new tagging scheme with a few files at first to see what tags you find useful when browsing and what tags aren't needed. |
