When MinimWatch starts, it listens on a local port for an inbound connection from MinimServer. This is required by the UPnP protocol. The listening port number is chosen at random. By disabling the firewall while MinimWatch is starting, you are allowing this inbound connection to complete successfully.
The inbound connection is renewed periodically (usually about every 20 to 30 minutes), so I think MinimWatch would stop working after this time if you leave the firewall active. |
