Few big cons for example :
- what if you’re editing metadata and each time you save a track or a group of tracks the rescan starts automatically ?
- what if you’re copying new albums/folders in the watched directories, when should the rescan start? After each copy of an album is ended or after the whole copy is ended?

The best thing is to define a task process: edit/copy albums/tracks and at the end of the task start the rescan manually
and remember to complete this process every time , that’s it, simple and effective.
The rescan takes very few minutes, if not seconds.
