It seems to take 10-20 minutes plus. Is there a way to speed up rescanning? Could it be that my network is slow or I changed the folder structure? Usually, the speed of indexing is mostly a function of drive speed. On a solid state drive, it can be very fast indeed. If you are using gigabit Ethernet or fast Wi-Fi, network speed should be less of an issue. That said, if you are accessing your content directory via any form of network connection, it will be slower than a local drive; if you can, it is better to use a NAS that will run MinimServer directly . After the initial indexing is done, the indexing process speeds up very considerably, as MinimServer only needs to reindex new and changed files. David |
