Uniti Atom stops when playing album from NAS

Hi folks
I have recently bought a Naim Uniti Atom and am playing music with minimserver from a Synology NAS using the Naim app on my iPad as the control point.
The problem is that more often than not the album stops playing after a few tracks and I have to click play queue to continue. I have no problems when playing albums from a usb drive and never had this issue with my Denon network streamer.
I love the quality of the Atom but this is very annoying, can anyone suggest a solution?
By the way the Atom also fails to find my device using airplay but works with Bluetooth not a major issue for me but I would like to know why if possible.
