It seems that you have eliminated most of the probable causes of this problem.
The most likely cause of what you have described is an issue with your Synology firewall settings. Is this the firewall you turned off completely? Does your router have an option to disable IGMP snooping? If so, try doing this. I will update my test system to the latest DSM 7.1.1 see whether it causes any problems. At present I am running 7.1 which is working OK. Edit: I installed DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 3 and network discovery is working OK for me. |
