RE: Can't see Minim Server icon in my MacBook
Thanks for this information. I would like to work with you to discover what is causing this error and fix it, if you are willing to do this.
I have done more investigation into this error message and it appears to be caused by an error in your Java installation on the QNAP. Please open the QNAP App Center and do the following: 1) Find the icon for JRE 8.151.2 and remove this package. 2) Reinstall this package (it is in the Developer Tools section) 3) Make sure the JRE icon is orange (enabled), not grey (disabled) 4) Find the icon for MinimServer and select Stop, followed by Start Does this solve the problem? If you still get the same error, you can revert to your original plan to run MinimServer on your Mac and access the files on the QNAP using a network share. The contentDir path for the QNAP network share will be something like /Volumes/Multimedia (you might need to change Multimedia to the correct name for your music library shared folder on the QNAP). I understand that getting this working is proving unreasonably difficult and I appreciate your patience and understanding. |
