Hi Simon,
Still trying to sort this out. There is one section in your instructions I recall which suggests that if my firewall is set to public (for Windoze) I will have problems so it should be set to home, work or private. Your trouble shooting notes suggest I try turning off the firewall and that I should turn off inbound connctions to minimserver.
Can you be more explicit regarding which ports and protocols I should enable in both directions?

My quick and dirty attempt at trouble shooting by installing on a windoze machine seems to work so I am starting to examine the communication between minimserver and the rest of my lan to try and find where the problem lies.
