On DSM 7, MinimServer runs as a special user MinimServer which is a member of the 'administrators' group. The 'adimistrators' group would normally have access to your music library folders and files.

To solve this problem, you need to assign read permission for your library files to the MinimServer user or the administrators group. You can do this in File Station (see this post) or Shared Folders (see this post). These posts talk about a profiles folder but the approach described should also work for library folders. I don't know how it could have been working previously on DSM 7 and not be working now.
