Melco BACKUP - I have religiously made a back-up of my Melco N1A drives to an external 6Tb Buffalo drive. When it was full with incremental backups I reformatted and went again - no problems. I swear at some time in the past I have mounted the backup drive on my Mac desktop and seen individual files - however...I use Mac OS Catalina and NTFS for Mac. Recently I mounted the Melco backup drive only to find an Untitled partition and no files, no nothing. Works fine as a backup drive with the Melco. My question is this. Has Melco changed it backup strategy in later versions of its firmware? Does that mean I now have a compressed backup in a proprietary format rather than individual files? I presumed I was keeping a copy of my music library that could be restored as FLAC files to any other place - seems not.
