MinimServer 2 license updates extension now available for purchase

Out of interest, if I allow a licence to expire so I no longer receive updates but can still use the product, does it continue to be available to extend/re-activate at any time? Or is there a point after which you can no longer extend/re-activate and your only option for new updates is to purchase a new licence?
