The control point should get the artist and title from the server and send these to the renderer. Some renderers try to extract artist and title from tag data in the audio stream. This tag data is not present in a transcoded stream.

What is your complete setup (control point and renderer) for your new DAC/streamer/renderer? Does the DAC/streamer/renderer use the UPnP protocol to get the artist and title from the control point?
