If you use DISCNUMBER without the [disc n] suffix, the discs will be merged and you'll get:

01.blabla
02.blabla
03.blabla
04.blabla

To prevent this merging when there's no [disc n] suffix, you can use DISCSUBTITLE as well as DISCNUMBER.
